Cookie Policy

Last updated July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies SetterStack uses, why, and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies (like local storage) do the same job. They let a site remember you between page loads — for example, to keep you signed in.

The cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary— sign-in/session and security cookies that make the app work. Without these you can't stay logged in. These can't be turned off within the app.
  • Preferences — remember choices like your active workspace or theme so the app feels consistent.
  • Analytics— a minimal amount of usage measurement so we can see what's working and fix what isn't. We keep this lightweight and privacy-respecting.
  • Marketing / advertising— if you arrived from one of our ads, we use the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel to measure whether that ad led to a signup, so we don't waste money showing ads to the wrong people. This sets Meta's _fbp and _fbc cookies (and our own ss_fbc, which just records the click ID from the ad link). Choose “Essential only” in the cookie banner and none of these are set.

We do not sell your data.We don't use these cookies to build a profile of you or to target you with anyone else's advertising — only to measure our own.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies come from the providers that run SetterStack — for example, our hosting and authentication (Vercel, Supabase) and payment checkout (Stripe, only on billing pages). These are used to deliver the service, not to profile you for ads. Where you accept marketing cookies, Meta also receives signup events directly from our servers (the Meta Conversions API) so our ad measurement stays accurate; your email address is hashed before it is sent, never shared in the clear.

Managing cookies

  • Your browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies in its settings.
  • Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in and core features.
  • Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies (e.g. in the EU/UK), we'll ask before setting them.

Changes

We may update this policy as our cookie use changes; the date at the top reflects the latest version.
