Edit with AI: the Config Assistant
Setting up an AI setter means a lot of fields — tone, offer, goals, links, voice settings, Q&A. The Config Assistant lets you skip the forms: open a chat on the AI Setup page, say what you want in plain English, and it drafts the exact changes for you to approve.
Find it on AI Setup → Edit with AI (top right).
01How it works
- Say what you want. "Make my AI more casual and let it use emojis." "Switch my goal to a webinar, Thursdays at 7pm." "Add a question about budget before booking."
- Review the card. The assistant answers and shows a Proposed changes card — every setting it wants to touch, with the current value and the new value side by side, and a one-line reason for each.
- Untick anything you don't want. Each change has its own checkbox.
- Hit Apply. Only then does anything save. Dismiss the card and nothing changes at all.
Nothing is ever changed behind your back — the assistant can only propose, and every apply goes through the same checks as saving the forms by hand. If a change can't go live (say, turning the AI on before its goal has a destination), you'll see exactly why, right in the chat, and you can fix it in the same conversation.
02What it's good at
- Tone & personality — casual/professional, emoji use, how natural the texting feels.
- Your offer and goal — what you sell, where ready leads get sent, switching between booking calls, webinars, websites, trials, or a physical location.
- Playbook building — adding Q&A answers, do's & don'ts, objection responses, qualification questions. Tell it the situation; it writes the entry.
- Voice notes — frequency, energy, languages, background scenes (on a specific profile).
- Sanity checks — ask "what's my setup missing?" and it reads your current config and tells you.
It also keeps related settings aligned: switch your goal to a webinar and it will ask about the day and time; ask it to turn the AI on and it checks your goal has somewhere to send people first.
03Profiles and teams
The assistant edits whatever the sidebar's profile selector points at. On a specific profile it can change that profile's persona, links, schedule, and voice. On All profiles (the shared team template) personal settings like voice are off-limits — pick the profile first, and it'll remind you if you forget.
04What it won't touch
Keyword automations, flows, DM greeters, the Brain, and billing live on their own pages — the assistant will point you to the right place instead of guessing. And only workspace owners and managers can use it, same as the settings forms themselves.
